Little Dog Fashion continues to
expand its line of quality fleece pull over hoodies for small dogs. The company recently added some 25 new hoodie
styles, bringing the total number of styles available to 73. This is in addition to the company's new line
of Halloween dog costumes which are also being sold on the company's website,
their Etsy store and Artfire studio.
This was a new item for us in the fall of
2010 and it has become more and more popular, explained Uta Brotherton, Little
Dog Fashions Chief Designer. We
decided back then to make our hoodies in a pull over style a few reasons: one, we wanted to accommodate dogs with a
hair coat like the Yorkies and Maltese because their fine hair tangles easily. Another concern was the hairless animal population
like the Chinese Crested or Hairless Khala.
Because these animals don't have a fur or hair coat, a Velcro closing
might itch and irritate their delicate skin. Brotherton continued. And third,
we found that is it just so much easier to dress even a very excitable
dog. Is it possible to get a Little Dog
Fashion hoody for a cat, like the hairless Sphynx? Sure. said Brotherton. Just ask. And we
will do everything we can to accommodate our customers needs.
Little Dog Fashion hoodies
cover the whole color palette from pastel tones to primary colors and a variety
of prints like the
pastel ice cream dog hoodie or aqua
blue strawberry hoodie. In addition
to the Diva
dog hoodie for special little girls and an airplane
one for the boys.

Little Dog Fashion has
clothed pets around the world for many years.
Their pet clothing line includes designer dog clothes, beds, accessories
and collars. This year, in addition to
the companys regular dog fashion line, Little Dog Fashion also included a
line of twelve pet costumes for that special family member.
Back in spring of 2011,
Little Dog Fashions in house designer Uta Brotherton started to work on her
fall collection. I received more and
more requests from our loyal customers to please include Halloween costumes for
their dogs in our fall collection she says.
Many of our customers were tired of seeing the same old Halloween pet
costumes produced overseas and asked for something different that was designed
and made in the United States, Uta continued.
So the new line was
born. Little Dog Fashion company
executives decided to go with twelve Halloween pet costume designs that are
solely being sold on their website, their Etsy store and ArtFire studio.
One of the companys most
popular dog costumes this year is Dr. Seuss Thing1
- Thing 2 dog costume. This dog
costume has been featured in many treasuries on Etsy and received the most hits
on Facebook, Etsy and their website. I
was trying to give our customers not only a pet costume for Halloween but also
pajamas that could be used after Halloween, Uta says. That is why our Thing 1-Thing 2 dog costume
is a two piece costume, she continued.
All
of Little Dog Fashion pet costumes are made from fleece fabric and feature not
only cartoon characters but also novelty ideas like a fried
egg dog costume and a traffic
sign dog Halloween costume. All of
the costumes are modeled by Sophie, the little white Maltese girl and the
companys super model.
